One of the best things about summer are all of the wonderful Farmers Markets that pop up selling the season’s best selection of fruits, veggies and delicious handmade items. If you’re a resident of our Hamden apartment rentals at Seramonte, then you’ll definitely want to keep reading.
The Hamden Farmers Market opened for its 5th season Friday, June 24 at Town Center Park (former Meadowbrook Golf Course Parking Lot). It will open every Friday through October 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. rain or shine! This is a wonderful place to purchase local produce, breads, organic food, flowers and specialty goods!
But, the Hamden Farmers Market isn’t you only fresh produce option. The Spring Glen Farmers Market is held every Tuesday from now until October 25 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Spring Glen Church, 1825 Whitney Avenue in Hamden. (more…)

Here’s what’s happening:
On Friday, July 1, the U. S. Army Field Band will play at the Independence Day Fireworks display. If inclement weather results in postponement, then the event will be held on July 2 at Hamden High School auditorium.
On Friday, July 8 you don’t want to miss the Doo Wop Show featuring the Duprees, Chiffons and the Legendary Teenagers and hear many Motown top favorites such as “My Own True Love,” “You Belong to Me,” and “Have You Heard.” The Chiffons will perform “He’s So Fine,” “One Fine Day,” “Sweet Talkin Guy” and “My Boyfriend’s Back.” Tunes from the Legendary Teenagers include: “Why Do Fools Fall In Love,” “I’m Not a Juvenile Delinquent” and “The ABC’s of Love.”
On Friday, July 15, the concert features Steve Augeri, the former lead singer of the group Journey, who will be singing some of Journey’s biggest hits including “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Anyway You Want It,” and “All the Way.” A great rundown of tunes! (more…)

Seramonte Hamden apartments, Connecticut will be handing out sweet treats to residents in the leasing office on Friday, October 29th from 2-5PM. Kids in the community are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume and stop in for photos and a chance to win an ipod shuffle.
If you’re a resident and planning to give out candy to trick-or-treaters for Halloween then the Seramonte Managament Office will supply you with a flyer that says “Trick or Treat, We Have Sweets” to hang on your door. We hope this will make it easier for trick or treaters to easily get around the community without disturbing residents choosing not to participate.

Graduate and Undergraduate students in the New Haven area will have an opportunity to enjoy live music, free food, and tremendous discounts at College Night on Broadway this Friday September 24th from 5 pm to 9 pm. Several businesses will be offering free items such as t-shirts, jewelry, popcorn, caricatures, and more.

The Hamden Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Hamden has announced its first ever Restaurant Week on September 20-26, 2010. Some of Hamden’s best restaurants will be offering either a buy one get one free option or three-course prix fixe menu with appetizer, entree, and dessert. Participating restaurants include Aunt Chilada’s, Cafe Amici, Di Matteo’s Pizza, Eli’s on Whitney, Ibiza Tapas & Wine Bar, Le Petit Gourmet, and Mickey’s Restaurant & Bar to name a few.
