Renting in a Tight Market According to an article published on CTPost, apartment construction and availability in Connecticut is not moving fast enough to meet the surging demand of renters. Even qualified renters with good credit scores and stable income are having a difficult time securing a rental property.

From Stamford to Norwalk to Branford, the rental market is hot and the lack of availability has sent many rental rates skyrocketing, pricing many out of the market. As of last month, Apartments.com listed more than 2,000 units for rent in Fairfield County, with Zillow listing about 530 standalone houses available on a rental basis.
