In celebration of the end of the school year and the beginning of summer, CTBest recently treated its apartment residents with a School’s out for Summer Party at Morgan Manor in Stamford. In celebration of the end of the school year and the beginning of summer, CTBest recently treated its apartment residents with a School’s out for Summer Party at Morgan Manor in Stamford.

Residents of all CTBest apartment communities were invited, and attendees enjoyed creating summer crafts, coloring and eating ice cream with family and friends all while getting to know their neighbors and other residents. Some of the kiddos in attendance even got the chance to make their dads some special gifts for Father’s Day!

Overall, everyone had a great time and was excited for the next CTBest bash. Wednesday Nite Live in Stamford DowntownStamford Downtown is the place to be this summer! With so many events and concert series going on every week, this summer in Stamford is looking to be one for the books. Starting July 6, the Wednesday Nite Live concert series (formerly known as Jazz-Up July) will kick off in a big way. Columbus Park is where you want to be every Wednesday in July at 6:30 p.m. for this outdoor summer concert series. Live music from national and regional headliners will take the stage to perform for you, your family and friends. It is sure to be a great and fun time for all who attend!

Fourth of July Events in Connecticut for 2016

Fourth of July Events in Connecticut for 2016240 years; that is how long it has been since we declared our independence, and how long we have had the amazing privilege to live in a free nation and to chase our dreams.  The Fourth of July is always one of the biggest celebrations in our country for that reason. Since it is such an important holiday, you want to be sure to celebrate it in the best way. Here are a few ideas on how to celebrate Independence Day this year with your friends and family in Connecticut near our apartments:

  • Fourth of July Fireworks at East Rock Park in New Haven on July 4: Bring the whole family to East Rock Summit for fun Fourth of July festivities beginning at 4 p.m. and stay for the fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. During the party, live music will be provided by “Hit List,” and attendees can enjoy a Soldier & Sailors Monument tour, delicious food and can browse the New Haven Reads book booth.
  • July 4th Weekend Celebration in Portland: At Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park, don’t miss out on an incredible weekend of fun just about a half hour from our apartments in Hamden/New Haven. From July 2 to July 4, have fun zip lining, rock climbing or relaxing with your family and friends. On the fourth, there will be a Food Fest with foods from around the world and a hotdog eating contest. Go and be a part of all the fun!
  • Savin Rock Fireworks: Also just a short drive from our New Haven apartments is the celebration out in West Haven. Here, you’ll find the region’s largest Independence Day fireworks show off of Bradley Point. Before the 20-minute display, attendees can dance to the lively music of The Navels.
  • Hamden’s 23rd Annual Fireworks Display at Town Center Park on July 1: Come out to Hamden Town Center Park to celebrate Independence Day with a concert at 7:30 p.m. followed by a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m.

2016 Alive@Five Outdoor Summer Concert Series in StamfordFrom July 7 through August 11, 2016, Columbus Park in Stamford Downtown will host the Alive @ Five Outdoor Summer Concert Series every Thursday evening at 5 p.m. Live music from national and regional headliners will be performing for all who attend. This annual event is a local favorite, and will definitely be a highlight of your summer as you enjoy the great music, fun dancing and amazing times!

Celebrate Earth Day with New Haven at the Rock to Rock Earth Day Ride

Join about 1,000 of your New Haven neighbors on an eight-mile bike ride across the city as you raise support for local organizations at the 8th annual Rock to Rock Earth Day Ride!

Registration is now open for the April 30 event, where members of the “rock band” will participate in an eight-, 12-, 20- or 40-mile trek from West Rock to East Rock. Along the way, participants will stop to eat tasty treats, listen to some cruising tunes, partake in environmental service projects and explore New Haven’s beautiful parks and neighborhoods.

Team up or ride solo to help raise funds for more than 20 local groups that aim to create a healthier, greener community. When you collect donations, you can choose to support any or all the wonderful organizations that make Rock to Rock possible and dedicate themselves to making the community a better place.

So, hop up on that bike to support great local causes, get some fresh spring air and explore your own backyard at Rock to Rock on Saturday, April 30. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Earth Day! Everyone from rookies to seasoned riders is invited to take part in Rock to Rock. We couldn’t agree more! CTBest is celebrating Easter and the arrival of the much-anticipated spring season with a party at the Morgan Manor apartment community in Stamford. All CTBestApartments residents are invited to hop on over to the Morgan Manor Community Room located at 95 Morgan Street for a Kids Easter Craft Party!

From beautiful eggs to adorable chicks and bunnies, children will enjoy making easy but fun Easter crafts that will delight them (and you!) throughout the season. Parents might even get inspired to create some of their own crafts that will go perfectly in their luxury Connecticut apartment!

Snacks and juice will be provided for all who attend. Parents must accompany children throughout the party.

If you are not a resident of Morgan Manor, just look for the balloons located at the pedestrian entrance to the Morgan Manor Community Room. There will be a PARTY sign outside.

Stamford Downtown Winter Restaurant Weeks to Return in 2016 from Feb. 22 through March 6Two weeks of unique meals and deals await you this winter when the widely-loved and highly-anticipated Winter Restaurant Weeks event returns to Stamford Downtown from February 22 through March 6.

More than 30 restaurants in Downtown Stamford will be serving special multi-course lunch and dinner meals that accommodate various tastes and budgets. Lunch prices range from $10.16 to $20.16 and dinner ranges from $15.16 to $35.16, so there’s sure to be something for anyone to enjoy. See the Heights & Lights in Stamford Downtown this Weekend

Stamford Downtown's Heights & LightsWhat better way to start the holiday season than with watching Santa rappel down one of Stamford’s tallest buildings? This weekend, you can do just that at Heights & Lights in Stamford Downtown.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Dec. 6, look up 22 stories high on the Landmark Square building and see Santa Claus and his Celebrity Rappelling Elf, Yankees GM Brian Cashman, make their way down the side of this massive structure. Once you’re done cheering on these December daredevils, follow them up Bedford Street over to Latham Park where you and the rest of Santa’s friends will enjoy a fireworks display after the annual lighting of Stamford’s Holiday Tree. The Cast of Lion King Jr. from Saxe Middle School will also be there to get you in the holiday spirit with their music as you sip on free hot cocoa from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation.

This might be the only time you get to see Santa in real life, so you definitely don’t want to miss this high flying adventure in Stamford Downtown.
