Thanksgiving Dinner in Your CTBest Apartment

Thanksgiving Dinner in Your CTBest Apartment

Thanksgiving Dinner in Your CTBest Apartment Each year as Thanksgiving arrives, there is a beautiful, delicious aroma in the air at every CTBest apartment. Whether you’re hosting a Friendsgiving, a Thanksgiving dinner for two, or inviting the entire family over for a massive feast, you need to plan smart for managing dinner in your kitchen. Hosting Thanksgiving is a fun and rewarding experience but can easily become daunting if you don’t prepare.

There are several apartment types available at CTBest apartments. In our Stamford apartments, we offer everything from a one-bedroom apartment at 77 and 65 Prospect Street to a three-bedroom apartment at Hoyt Bedford. Our Norwalk apartments, Morningside Gardens,  one-to-two bedroom apartments, while our Branford apartments and condos also offer a range in size. Regardless of your apartment size, here are some of the easiest and best ways to host Thanksgiving in your CTBest apartment.

Be Creative

Depending on your party size, you may not have an ample amount of space to sit several people. If your table can’t sit 20, all you have to do is get creative! Use smaller, inexpensive tables to push together and make a longer table. Decorate with Thanksgiving décor and even use paper plates and cups if you’re short on dining ware. In the kitchen, if your range isn’t full-sized, fitting a massive turkey and roasting pan in the oven can be a challenge. To save space, and ensure a properly cooked meal, opt for a turkey breast instead of the whole bird. You can also use other devices to round out your meal, such as a slow cooker, Instant Pot and an air fryer.

Angle the Table

While it may be perfectly acceptable to eat over the kitchen counter and on our laps while sitting on the couch throughout the year, Thanksgiving calls more a little more sophistication. As mentioned above, you can combine two smaller tables, but you can also angle the table away from the wall. Instead of setting it up parallel to a wall, run it right through the middle of the apartment at whatever angle gives you the most space. This will give you some extra square feet to work with, and you and your guests won’t feel closed in. It will also create the illusion of a larger space.

Design a Holiday Buffet

Your kitchen counter or even the dining table can easily be converted to a buffet style Thanksgiving dinner. An arrangement like this is more casual and can be served in a variety of styles. For example, your guests can help themselves and eat comfortably in the living room or on the floor. You can even throw a large picnic blanket on the floor for them to sit on. This is a fun and more casual way to do a holiday meal that may feel warmer, friendlier and more intimate than the usual formal affair.
