Make Memories This Summer with Local Camps

Summer CampsSummer is a special time when many camps are available throughout the Stamford, Branford andNorwalk areas to help children make amazing memories and truly blossom. We have found some of the most popular camps throughout the area, but there are plenty more!

Stamford YMCA

Starting June 26th through August 17th, Stamford YMCA will be hosting several summer camps for children between Kindergarten and 8th grade.  Camp Mini (for children ages 5) provides kids with a safe learning – and fun – environment. Food is provided and weekly field trips highlight each theme week. There are also swim lessons, weekly visits to Cove Island Beach and a dance workshop.

Camp WOW (grades 1-5) gives campers the change to engage in activities that support their physical and emotional development.  Just like Camp Mini, food and activities are provided, but this camp also offers special enrichment presentation, STEM-inspired activities and outdoor camp experience at Rocky Craig.

For grades 6-8, Teen Adventure Camp, campers have the unique opportunity to develop critical-thinking and decision-making skills while engaging in a broad range of activities. Such activities include canoeing, rock climbing, swimming, fishing, white water rafting, paintballing, skeet shooting and more. Rope course training, zip lining, tennis lesson and weekly adventures are only part of the fun!
