Stamford

Ice Skating: Ice skating is a fun way to celebrate the holiday season for all ages, and Stamford is fortunate to have several special rinks. Make your way to Terry Conners Ice Rink, Stamford Twin Rinks or Chelsea Piers Connecticut for tons of fun on the ice!

“Miracle” Christmas Themed Bar: Miracle, the beloved Christmas themed holiday pop-up cocktail bar launched in New York City, will continue spreading holiday cheer this year with over 50 locations around the world. Luckily, Connecticut is one of those chose locations! Find these p professionally-developed holiday cocktails in New Haven and Waterbury, both within an hours’ drive of Stamford if you’re in for a roadtrip!

27th Annual Brass and Organ Christmas Concert: This event is beautiful in every way and will have you ready for the holidays! The New York Symphonic Brass, 10 pieces strong, return to ring in the Christmas season at First Presbyterian Church on December 9, 2018.

Elf, The Musical: Watch the beloved holiday, fish-out-of-water comedy come alive at Curtain Call Stamford from now until December 15. This modern-day holiday classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

A Merry Mulberry Street Musical: Since its premiere in 2009, A Merry Mulberry Street Musical has played to sold-out crowds at nearly every performance each time it has played in Stamford. Join the Morello and Baccolini families during the 1944 holiday season and watch what happens while the boys are overseas and an outcast sister-in-law comes back into their lives! Book early before they sell out again! Shows run until December 15.

Connecticut Ballet Presents The Nutcracker: Connecticut Ballet’s annual production is a staple of holiday entertainment in our region. There are four spectacular performances scheduled between December 15th and 16th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Guests can come early for holiday shopping at the Nutcracker Holiday Boutique or stay afterward to meet the stars in the lobby.

Norwalk

“Flurry Zone” – Indoor Snow Experience: From now until December 31, the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is guaranteeing a snowy forecast indoors at Newman’s Own Hall. This is the perfect opportunities for the little members of your family to enjoy the snow without the wind chill! Also at the Maritime Aquarium, the popular Shark-diving Santa is back!

Holiday Open House: Visit the Norwalk Historical Society Museum for holiday shopping and discounts in the Gift Shop and to view the new exhibition, Form, Function & Family:  Silver from the Norwalk Historical Society and the City of Norwalk. Visitors will have the opportunity to open six discovery drawers that house pieces made by local silversmiths, as well as souvenir spoons made to market Norwalk.  The exhibit features items that were owned or made in Norwalk and reflect the city’s cultural heritage. This is a pristine opportunity to learn more about the history of your city and even take a little piece back to your CTBest apartment.

Lockwood-Mathews Mansion’s Holiday Exhibit: Get a first-hand look at the evolution from the 1850s to the 1930s, from small tabletop trees with edibles and handmade ornaments, to lavishly embellished trees that stood on the floor and almost reached the ceiling. The mansion also displays a glittering and festive, Designer Show House of holiday trees and decorations.

Worldwide community Lights Celebration: Another must-see light display to help get you into the holiday spirit is at the Stepping Stone Museum for Children. The museum will be transformed by a spectacle of lights that is sure to warm hearts, illuminate minds, evoke wonder, tickle whimsy and ignite skies. From dusk to midnight, every surface of the museum’s exterior becomes a canvas for animated projections, glowing LED’s and an explosion of color.
