The library is a great place to check out a book and exercise your mind, but the Norwalk Public Library is making it a great space to work out your body as well through their “Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies” program. In addition to a great variety of books and DVDs, the Norwalk Public Library is pleased to offer a variety of Zumba, yoga and nutrition classes that will help the entire family get healthy near your Norwalk apartment.
Two sessions of ZUMBA are available on Mondays: ZUMBA for Kids & Parents at 5 p.m. and ZUMBA for Teens & Adults at 6 p.m. For those interested in Yoga, two sessions are available on Wednesdays: Yoga for Kids (Ages 3+) & Parents at 5 p.m. and Yoga for Teens & Adults at 6 p.m.
In addition to the classes, families can attend “Healthy Resolutions,” a four-week program held on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Norwalk Library. The Norwalk Public Library along with the Norwalk Health Department will focus on a different healthy resolution each week during the series. Each week the topics will build on each other to provide attendees with the skills needed to kick start a healthier 2013. You can attend one session or all four. When you attend all four classes, you will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket. To register, call 203-899-2780.
