Creating an At-Home Gym in a CTBest Apartment

At-Home GymThere are plenty of gyms within a short distance from CTBest apartment communities in Stamford, Norwalk and Branford. However, gym memberships can easily cost a small fortune, plus fitting in a workout between classes and work seems impossible. Have you ever thought about creating an at-home gym in your CTBest apartment? Even if you don’t have a ton of extra space in your apartment, you can still get a full body workout. But if you have a little extra money, a dedicated mind, and a bit more space, there are some other gadgets that will give you a better calorie burn.

Start with the Basics

  • Yoga Mat
  • Jump Rope
  • Adjustable Weight Dumbbells
  • Resistance Bands

Go Bigger

There are several pieces of workout equipment that fit unbelievably well in CTBest apartments. Sure, some of the pieces will be heavy and may take patience to assemble but the end results are worth it! If you’re ready to go bigger, here are some items to consider:

  • Ab Wheel – only $12 at Target and it offers a lot more burn than what meets the eye. It only takes a few reps to feel the burn, plus it’s super easy to store away!
  • Textured Foam Roller – Roll out unwanted tension in your muscles to keep them loose and limber. A foam roller can play an important role in reducing soreness and helping to avoid injury. It’s only $14 at Wal-Mart and can easily fit in a drawer.
  • Adjustable Kettlebells – Kettlebells are a hot item to have for at-home workouts. You can enhance your squats, do ab training, strengthen your arms, and so much more. Although it cannot fold, it can easily be stored under furniture or in a closet, and they’re only $50 at Dick’s Sporting Goods!
  • Rowing Machine – The rowing machine will give you a full-body workout and has a lower impact on your knees and hips. These machines are slightly larger and more expensive ($217 at Wal-Mart), but definitely worth the investment, if you’re dedicated to being fit.
  • Total Gym 1100 - Whether you’re looking to gain flexibility, strength or core power, this machine does it all! There are over 60 possible exercises that you can do on this one machine and it doesn’t have to be a total eyesore in your apartment.

Once you have your home gym set up there are plenty of easy exercises you can do right in your apartment, that only requires some basic equipment. Working out in the privacy of your own home is way less intimidating and for some means a much better workout! If you happen to have roommates, click here for apartment-friendly workouts.
