Celebrate the Fourth with Your CTBest Neighbors

Celebrate the Fourth with Your CTBest Neighbors

Happy 4th of JulyThe mercury is rising and the colors of Old Glory wave all across Connecticut, where it can seem especially fun to celebrate independence with reminders of history all around us. Residents of our properties have access to a smorgasbord of Fourth of July in walking distance or short drives from home. We’ve pulled together a list of some of the ways to mark the occasion with your neighbors.

Stamford will host a free fireworks show on Friday, June 30 at 6 p.m. in Cummings Park. Entertainment begins at 6:00 pm and the fireworks will start after dark. Bring a picnic and a blanket, find your spot and enjoy a relaxing summer evening. Guests are reminded that parking restrictions will be in place, and that traffic after the show may be congested. Cummings Park makes a scenic spot for a picnic and fireworks display. Enjoy fishing, swimming or boating and then cuddle up to watch the rockets red glare bursting over Long Island Sound.

On Monday, July 3, take a short drive from Morningside Gardens to Calf Pasture Beach. Consider spending the day splashing and relaxing, and then enjoying an evening of family entertainment along the shore. A kid’s show kicks things off at 5:30 p.m., followed by family entertainment performances at 6 and 8 p.m. parking passes can be downloaded, and are free for Norwalk residents.  After the show, enjoy more music and the quiet sounds of water lapping the land. Maybe the best part is that you can be back to your CTBest apartment in a quarter of an hour.

None of our communities will be left out on Independence Day. Branford has planned a huge event this year with food trucks, shuttle buses and ice cream. On Saturday, June 24 starting at 5:30, visitors can hop a shuttle from a local high school, and travel to Branford Point and Foote Park. Or just ramble around town on your own two feet, sampling food from Melly P’s Panini Truck, Greekin’ Out, Shoreline Prime and more. Lay out a blanket or pop up some chairs and wait for night to settle. The fireworks display will begin after dark, and the shuttles will run through the evening for free. All of our Branford residents can take advantage of this fun Fourth celebration.

No matter where you live in Connecticut, you’ll be able to find a Fourth of July event near your CTBest apartment. If you are interested in living as close to these great events, visit www.ctbestapts.com or call Desiree at 203-223-1665.
