Celebrate the 4th of July with a Bang

Celebrate the 4th of July with a Bang

4th of July It wouldn’t be 4th of July without fireworks and fun for our Stamford, Norwalk and Branford residents! With the Fourth of July quickly approaching, it’s time to plan your Independence Day in Connecticut. Do you want to spend your day watching parades, enjoying backyard BBQs, or attending fairs and festivities? In our communities, you can do it all before catching one of the many fireworks displays!

Starting as early as Saturday, June 23, our Branford community will host its annual fireworks display at Ecology Park. Starting at approximately 9:30 p.m. fireworks will light the night sky throughout Branford. Due to the new locations, the show will allow viewing from many areas in town. Foote Park will be the main town park for viewing. Before the big display, you’re encouraged to explore the town and sample food from Melly P’s Panini Truck, Greekin’ Out, Shoreline Prime and more. All of our Branford residents can take advantage of this fun Fourth celebration.

Also on the weekend of June 23, Norwalk Arts Festival kicks off one of the best cultural events in the area. The artists are the focus of this two-day festival located in a beautiful park setting nestled between two museums and a nationally recognized Art Center as well as the Connecticut Visitors Bureau. This spectacular event takes place on June 23 at 10 a.m. and on June 24 at 5 p.m., and it is located in the convenient Mathews Park in Norwalk.

Since Independence Day lands on a Wednesday this year, Monday and Tuesday will be the days to enjoy firework celebrations in Fairfield County and Norwalk. Monday, July 2, all residents can come celebrate the 4th of July with an explosive Grucci Firework show. The fireworks will start with a bang just after dark, around 9:15 p.m., from a barge off Long Island Sound so that the show can be seen easily from either Penfield or Jennings Beaches.

Our Norwalk community can enjoy a beautiful firework display and concert at Calf Pasture Beach on Tuesday, July 3. Before the fireworks begin, consider spending the day splashing and relaxing, and then enjoying an evening of family entertainment along the shore. A kid’s show kicks things off at 5:30 p.m., followed by family entertainment performances at 6 and 8 p.m. parking passes can be downloaded, and are free for Norwalk residents.  After the show, enjoy more music and the quiet sounds of water lapping the land. Maybe the best part is that you can be back to your CTBest apartment in a quarter of an hour.

No matter where you live in Connecticut, you’ll be able to find a Fourth of July event near your CTBest apartment. If you are interested in living as close to these great events, visit www.ctbestapts.com or call Desiree at 203-223-1665.
