An Unofficial Ending of Summer

An Unofficial Ending of Summer

Many students may have started back to school this past week, but that doesn’t mean the summer fun is over just yet! Labor Day weekend gives us one last big weekend for the summer. One more weekend to enjoy the beaches, barbecues and summer activities before we embrace the fall foliage and college football games. If you’re looking for fun around the Stamford, Norwalk or Branford areas, here are some events to consider:

  • On Saturday, September 2, the Blues, Views and BBQ Festival in Westport celebrates its 10th year of live music, delicious food and family fun. All ages will enjoy this celebration with the famous Jessup jam with a bounce park, touch and paint a truck, airbrush tattoos, pie and rib eating contest and more!
  • What better way to spend the long weekend than laughing until it hurts? The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport is bringing the next hottest comedy show of the summer
  • “The Labor Day Weekend Comedy Explosion.”
  • Gently easing Stamford out of the summer with fried dough, spinning rides and entertainment is the 37th St.Leo Fair. Happening until September 2, this event is perfect for all ages!

Our Stamford apartments, 77 & 65 Prospect Street, Morgan Manor and Hoyt Bedford put our residents in the middle of all the action.  In addition to the great amenities, our Branford and Norwalk Apartments also feature amazing locations. Each community gives our residents a chance to discover the rich history of Connecticut and discover the stories of those who can before us. If fighting crowds doesn’t sound like the Labor Day you had in mind, come visit one of the many historical landmarks near our Stamford, Norwalk or Branford communities.
