Q: Is parking included?
A: Parking is available, at both buildings, in a private parking garage, for additional fee.
Q. Do the apartments have washers and dryers?
A: Most apartments have combination washer/dryer units, and some apartments have stacked washers and dryers. 77 & 65 Prospect Street Apartments also offers a Clothing Care Center that features a call ahead system to check washer and dryer availability.
Q: Does the kitchen have a microwave oven?
A: Microwave ovens and all common kitchen appliances are included.
Q: Are the apartments air conditioned?
A: Yes, 77 & 65 Prospect Street Apartments come with A/C. Some apartments have central A/C, and others have wall units or sleeve units in each room.
Q: Are the apartments cable and Internet ready?
A: Yes, apartments are wired for service through Cablevision. For high-speed Internet access, you may use Optimum through Cablevision or DSL through SNET. We are also WiFi ready through Spot On Communications.
Q: Are the apartments carpeted?
A: Some Townhouse apartments have ceramic tile and carpeting, and others have parquet floors.
Q: How far is the train station?
A: The convenient downtown location places the Stamford Transportation Center just one-half mile from TheTownhouse Apartments.
Q: What direct outdoor access do apartments have?
A: Most apartments have a balcony; other apartments may have a deck or terrace.
Q: Do you offer short term leases?
A: Yes, on select apartments.
Q: Is storage available?
A: Yes, storage is available in both buildings for a small monthly fee.
Q: Is there a pool?
Q: Is there a fitness center?
A: There is a fitness center in both Townhouse buildings available for residents only at no additional cost.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Cats are welcome. Unfortunately, our community does not accommodate dogs.
Q: What happens if a repair is needed in my apartment after I move in?
A: Repair service is always available. Routine requests are handled Monday through Friday, and emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Q: Is there an application fee?
A. Yes, there is a $35.00 per person application fee.
Q: What is your rental criteria?
A: We require the following:
1. A favorable credit history, verified through a credit report on all adults residing in the apartment.
2. A favorable landlord reference.
3. Evidence of income. Rent should not exceed approximately 32% of total household income.
4. One or two month’s security deposit required upon lease signing. The deposit should be presented in the form of a certified bank check, money order, debit or credit card.
5. Leases commence on the 1st day of a month and terminate on the last day of a month. Rent for move-in at other times of the month will be pro-rated.
Q: How much security deposit is required?
A: CTBestApts has partnered with Sure Deposit to provide you with an attractive alternative to a traditional security deposit. Simply pay a onetime non-refundable low cost premium, instead of a traditional security deposit. Of course, you always have the option for a traditional security deposit as well. We typically require the equivalent of one or two month’s rent, depending on one’s credit standing and other criteria. The traditional security deposit must be delivered in the form of a certified bank check, money order, debit or credit card, and it must be paid in full prior to taking occupancy.
Q: Do you accept personal checks?
A: We accept personal checks for monthly rent payments, except your first month’s payment. Before you take occupancy, we ask for your cooperation in paying the security deposit and first month’s rent in the form of a certified bank check, money order, debit or credit card.

Q: What days and times may I view an apartment?
A: Our leasing office is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is not necessary to have an appointment during the weekdays; you may stop by at your convenience. Our leasing center is located at 112 Hoyt Street, Stamford, CT.
